Bruno Fernandes has praised Manchester United teammate Jesse Lingard as the”Greatest player in the Premier League” after his terrific form at West Ham.
Lingard arrived on loan in the Hammers in January after struggling with his United form and neglecting to establish himself as a routine under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
But the 28-year-old England worldwide has flourished at the London Stadium and had a professional rival beneath former Red Devils manager David Moyes.
Lingard has made 13 appearances in the Premier League for West Ham, scored nine times, and registered four assists as the Hammers sit six points outside of the top four.
The United loanee’s sensational form could even land him a place back in Gareth Southgate’s England squad before this summer’s Euro 2020.
Fernandes has hailed Lingard’s significant improvement in form as he admitted everyone at United is “really, really happy for him.”
The 26-year-old Portuguese midfielder told United’s official website: “If you see Jesse, I think Jesse, at the moment, if you watch the last ten games, has been top, top, top level.

“For me, if you watch the last ten games, he’s been the best player in the Premier League, scoring and assists in every game.
“Everyone here is really, really happy for him. He has confidence back, he has his swag back, because he is feeling confident. We are really, really happy for what he’s doing.”
Lingard has candidly admitted that he almost took a break from football due to mental health issues, saying he “didn’t want to play because my mind wasn’t there.”
The West Ham star’s long-term future at Old Trafford remains uncertain as his current United deal will expire in 2022.
According to reports, Lingard has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan after his career resurgence at West Ham.
