Portugal’s official Euro 2021 Squad has been announced and it’s Insane Squad Depth

Portugal’s Euro 2020 team has been revealed, and it’ll be difficult to find a better bet to win the tournament.

This summer, Fernando Santos’ side hopes to add to their Euro 2016 and inaugural UEFA Nations League victories by winning another cup.

They’ve become better after those two victories, and now have a talent base so vast that you can make a roster out of the players they’ve left behind.

Spearheading the attack will be Cristiano Ronaldo, but joining him up there now will be two of Bernardo Silva, Diogo Jota, Joao Felix or Goncalo Guedes.

You still have to include Bruno Fernandes, who plays defensive midfield and is right behind him… that’s a lot of depth.

Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho of the Wolves can keep it moving in the centre of the park, and William Carvalho can sweep.

Renato Sanches, a talented teenager in 2016, will have a lot to say now that he’s back on the international stage.

They’re not only stocked up during an invasion, though.

Manchester City duo Ruben Dias and Joao Cancelo will be first names on the teamsheet, while you can’t go wrong with the veteran Pepe at the back.

Jose Fonte could very well walk into the tournament fresh of winning Ligue 1 with Lille and Raphael Guerreiro isn’t too shabby at left back.

In net? Anthony Lopes or Rui Patricio. There seriously is no weakness.

Check out the full squad below:

Goalkeepers: Anthony Lopes (Lyon), Rui Patricio (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Rui Silva (Granada)

Defenders: Joao Cancelo (Manchester City), Nelson Semedo (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Jose Fonte (Lille), Pepe (Porto), Ruben Dias (Manchester City), Nuno Mendes (Sporting CP), Raphael Guerreiro (Borussia Dortmund)

France also look ready to continue their fine form after winning the 2018 World Cup, with Didier Deschamps naming a strong squad that includes a certain Karim Benzema.

Gareth Southgate will name his England squad on Tuesday afternoon.
