42.8% Of Fans Think N’Golo Kante Should Win The Ballon d’Or

Chelsea and France midfielder N’Golo Kante should win the 2021 Ballon d’Or ahead of Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi, according to a poll of over 150,000 fans.

It has been a wonderful season for Kante, who picked up the Man of the Match award for his performance in the Champions League final against Manchester City.

He dominated the midfield in his side’s 1-0 win over Pep Guardiola’s side, winning 11 duels and recovering the ball 10 times. But his previous performances in Europe’s most elite competition have also caught the eye.

Kante picked up the Player of the Match award in the club’s 1-0 win against Atletico Madrid in the Round of 16, second leg clash, before taking home two MOTM awards in both semi-final clashes against Real Madrid.

The 30-year-old World Cup winner is currently around 5/1 to win the most coveted individual prize in football this year with Messi at 7/1 and Ronaldo at 10/1, despite the pair finishing as La Liga and Serie A top-scorers respectively.

And thousands of fans think he should be crowned the 2021 Ballon d’Or winner for his efforts in recent months.

“Thinking of Ballon d’Or? No… WE are savouring the Champions’ League, then there’s the Euros”.

“Man of the match? It’s secondary. The main thing is what WE did”.
