Chelsea are set to break the British transfer record for Erling Haaland this summer if Borussia Dortmund reject their Tammy Abraham exchange offer.
According to rumours, the Blues are considering surrendering their out-of-favour striker Abraham, as well as cash, in exchange for Haaland.
However, with the German club unlikely to accept the offer, Roman Abramovich may instead make a £154.5 million deal for the Norwegian star.

Chelsea on the hunt for a new striker comes as no surprise, especially with Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham firing blanks since Thomas Tuchel’s introduction as head coach.
Tuchel made an immediate impact since taking over at Stamford Bridge from Frank Lampard back in January – eventually going on to win the Champions League final over Manchester City.
However, Tuchel has lacked an out-and-out striker and multiple reports suggest that signing a new forward this summer is his top priority.
According to Marca, Abramovich is expected to back Tuchel and it appears even more likely as though he’s ready to make a teasing offer to sign Haaland.

However, if Dortmund rejects the Abraham-plus-cash offer for Haaland, who is largely considered as one of the top attackers in the world right now, a fee of at least £154.5 million will be required.
If any team tries to lure the 20-year-old away this summer, Dortmund is alleged to have requested that amount.
Haaland’s release clause, which kicks in in 2022, is said to be in the region of £68 million.
And, though Chelsea seem to be in the driver’s seat to recruit the young attackers, they will face stiff competition from Premier League and La Liga’s top clubs.
