Frank Lampard’s greatest Chelsea goal has resurfaced and fans are still amazed by his ‘byline chip’ vs Barcelona.
Lampard was an incredible footballer in his prime and despite being a midfielder, his eye for goal was unmatched.
The former England international managed to score 211 goals in his time at Stamford Bridge and his best came in the Champions League.
Chelsea faced off then-holders Barcelona in 2006 and equalised thanks to a truly remarkable piece of Lampard magic.

Claude Makelele floated a ball into the Blaugrana box which Lampard failed to control at first.
Rather than turn over possession or let it go out of play, he chased it to the byline before being met by Gianluca Zambrotta.
What did he do next? Casually lift it over Zambrotta AND Victor Valdes in goal. It kissed the far post and went in to stun the Camp Nou.
Simply spectacular… but did he mean it? Well the man himself insists it was deliberate.
Lampard told Sky Sports: “Sometimes I do it as a bit of fun, but it is a test of your skill and I practise shooting from all angles and with both feet.

“Sometimes it is horrible when you are missing the target all the time but you get your reward if you work hard.
“Millions of times I have done that and missed the target and then it comes good.
“The first touch let me down so I suppose that is what made the goal because that is what gave me the angle.
“When I scored, I didn’t really have any other option than to clip it over the goalkeeper. I had to get the right trajectory and it was a great feeling when it dropped in.”

Deco had given Barcelona a first half lead before Lampard’s lovely chip levelled the scores.
Eidur Gudjohnsen restored the home side’s lead after a close-ranged strike against his former club.
Didier Drogba popped up with a dramatic equaliser in the dying embers to secure a draw.
