John Stones’ Gravity-Defying Leap vs Scotland Has Left England Fans Stunned

 

John Stones had England fans in awe after producing an insane gravity-defying leap against Scotland.

11 minutes into the huge Euro 2020 fixture at Wembley, the Manchester City defender found himself free inside the area from a Mason mount and jumped like prime Michael Jordan.

His header had David Marshall beaten but the Scotland No.1’s post came to his aid as the ball smacked against the woodwork and back into the path of Stones, who couldn’t get a connection on the rebound.

Stones showed his aerial prowess in an England shirt during the 2018 World Cup, where he scored twice against Panama in a 6-1 thrashing in Russia.

He had England’s best chance of the half against Scotland in a tense but entertaining opening 45 minutes.

Juventus and Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has regularly received recognition for his innate hang-time in the air but Barnsley native Stones is out here giving him a run for his money.
