Sergio Ramos To Snub Manchester United And City As Real Madrid Legend Inches Closer To PSG Move

Sergio Ramos will snub Manchester United and Manchester City as the Real Madrid legend is set to sign for Paris Saint-Germain on a free, according to reports.

The 35-year-old Spanish centre-back will leave Madrid this summer after a remarkable 16-year spell at the club.

Ramos lifted an impressive five La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues with Madrid, as well as becoming club captain after succeeding Iker Casillas in 2015.

The outgoing Madrid skipper’s exit from the Santiago Bernabeu has attracted interest from Sevilla, City, United and PSG.

Ramos has already ruled out a return to former club Sevilla and swiftly dismissed the idea of signing for Barcelona on a free transfer.

However, the Spanish newspaper claims that PSG have made a better offer than the two Premier League clubs.

Diario AS’ Andres Onrubia Ramos added that Paris ‘attracts’ Ramos quite a bit as a city.

Speaking at his farewell press conference, Ramos insisted that he “never” had in his mind the idea of leaving Madrid this summer.

He said: “We never thought in any moment about any other team.

“Since January I’ve been on market, so there have been some calls, interested clubs.

“But we never had in mind leaving Real Madrid. From now, we will look for a good option.

“Sevilla is the other club of my heart, I had [a] marvellous time there. But today I am not thinking about that option. Barca would be a resounding no, impossible to see Ramos in a Barca shirt.

“These have been difficult months, not easy at all. I am fully happy when I’m on the pitch. But now I can say I am recovered; really looking forward to competing again.”
