N’Golo Kante’s stunning form in 2021 has been highlighted in a fan-made compilation as the Chelsea star is tipped as one of the favourites for the Ballon d’Or.
The 30-year-old French midfielder played an instrumental role in Chelsea’s Champions League success last season.
Kante was named Man of the Match in both semi-final ties against Real Madrid before he delivered a phenomenal performance in Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Manchester City in the final.
The Chelsea fan-favourite, who also secured the Man of the Match award in the final, has since emerged as one of the frontrunners for the Ballon d’Or.
And Kante could strengthen his potential position on the 2021 Ballon d’Or podium depending on his international duty with France in this summer’s Euro 2020.
Manchester United star Paul Pogba has already backed his France teammate to secure France Football’s coveted prize ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Now, one fan has uploaded a stunning compilation of Kante’s 2021 highlights to YouTube to show his ‘pure class’ on the pitch.
The France international’s highlights left fans to argue that Kante ‘deserves’ to win the Ballon d’Or.
“Ballon d’Or to Kante. Even [Luka] Modric didn’t play like this when he won the Ballon d’Or,” one fan said.
Someone else claimed: “Kante is a refined version of Claude Makelele. Kante is one complete player… He is so calm even during tackles… He is a talisman for any team… He deserves the Ballon d’Or.”
A third wrote: “Low-key Kante is one of the best dribbling midfielders in the world.”
And a fourth added: “The masterpiece of CDM in football history. Deserves [the] Ballon d’Or.”
