Ukraine Andriy Yarmolenko Scores Goal Of The Tournament Contender With Sensational Curling Shot

Andriy Yarmolenko scored a goal of the tournament contender with a sensational curling left-footed strike against the Netherlands.

Yarmolenko bagged a wondergoal which proved to be in vain as Ukraine lost 3-2 in Amsterdam on Sunday.

In the 75th minute, the West Ham man cut onto his trusted left peg and unleashed an unstoppable shot past the hapless Maarten Stekelenburg in goal.

YARMOLENKOOOOO! 💫

“The finish is absolutely phenomenal… it starts three yards out of the post and curls all the way in!” 🤩

Ally McCoist loved that strike – and so did the #UKR fans in Amsterdam! #ITVFootball | #Euro2020 pic.twitter.com/NGuKk9gnNd

One tweeted: “Out of the Arjen Robben top drawer.”

A second wrote: “WHAT A GOAL! YOU DONT SEE THEM LIKE THAT EVERY DAY!”

A third added: “He’s the Ukrainian Nani.”

Unfortunately for Yarmolenko, his goal failed to earn Ukraine any points as they resume their European Championship campaign against North Macedonia next Thursday.
