Chelsea’s Mason Mount Has Undergone A Monumental Body Transformation In Two Years

Mason Mount has undergone a huge body transformation in the past two years, with recent pictures showing just how much the Chelsea star has changed physically.

After impressive loan spells at Vitesse Arnhem and Derby County, Mount was finally given a chance at Chelsea under Frank Lampard following the club’s transfer ban.

He’s subsequently developed into a key player for both club and country, winning Chelsea’s Player of the Year award last season and playing a key role in Chelsea’s Champions League victory over Manchester City in Porto.

Mount has made enormous progress to consistently perform in the biggest games, fully dispelling the idea that he benefited from Lampard and Southgate’s favouritism

And clearly the 22-year-old has been putting in some serious work in the gym. He posted a picture a shirtless picture of him training ahead of his return to Chelsea and even his best mate Declan Rice was wondering whether it was photoshopped.

“Teach me how to edit please bro??” Rice wrote, while Rio Ferdinand joked Mount had been “over eating”.

.

Rice has evidently gained a whole lot of muscle in his arms, shoulders and back which has no doubt aided his performance.

Go back two years to Mount’s first foray into the Chelsea side, he appeared scrawny and looked like he needed to beef up.

The very best players like Cristiano Ronaldo went above and beyond to get to the top and Mount is following that formula.

“He’s always doing extra, always at the gym, doing everything he can to better himself,” Chelsea and England teammate Ben Chilwell said in April.

“With the natural talent that he has, the work rate, the sky is the limit for him.

“If he keeps doing what he does; scoring, assisting, and working hard away from the training ground – which I know he does – he will be a great player for Chelsea and England for a long time.”
