FIFA 22’s Official Reveal Trailer Drops And The New HyperMotion Technology Could Be A Game-Changer

EA Sports has showcased the first look at the use of HyperMotion technology in the official reveal trailer for the highly anticipated FIFA 22.

The FIFA 22 publisher has used motion capture suits using 22 professional footballers to capture football being played at “high-intensity for the first time.”

The official reveal trailer for FIFA 21’s successor shows several stars wearing the Xsens motion capture suits, which includes Trent Alexander-Arnold, Marcelo and Eden Hazard.

FIFA 22’s use of the Xsens suits allows the publisher to record every touch, tackle, sprint and duel from the 22 footballers.

According to Electronic Arts’ official website, the data from the Xsens suits “powers over 4,000 new animations in FIFA 22 to raise the footballing intensity, responsiveness and physicality of every player.”

EA Sports claims that HyperMotion has also improved the experience in different areas, including longer two-touch animations and bringing down aerial balls with more techniques.

Another improvement expected to come from HyperMotion is giving FIFA 22 players more strength in shielding the ball from the opposition.

The performance capture will impact the experience when players aren’t on the ball, with EA Sports saying that users will see opponents talk, point and direct each other in a certain direction.

When it comes to attacking, EA Sports claims that FIFA 22 users will see their players make smarter runs in build-up play and they will react faster to when they lose possession.
