Jordan Henderson Has Finally Scored His First Goal For England And The Scenes Were Emotional

Jordan Henderson has finally scored his first goal for England during this evening’s Euro 2020 clash with Ukraine and the celebrations were so wholesome.

England found themselves 3-0 up early in the second half and Gareth Southgate brought Henderson on for Declan Rice.

Henderson, who hit the headlines for missing a penalty in a friendly against Romania last month, found himself on the end of a Mason Mount corner.

The Liverpool man firmly headed home past Heorhiy Bushchan to make it 4-0 and you can see what it meant to him.

It’s been a tough old season for Jordan Henderson… but what a reward!

Gareth Southgate’s side took the lead inside four minutes after Harry Kane fired home from a lovely Raheem Sterling ball.

England doubled their lead a minute into the second half with Harry Maguire heading home a Luke Shaw cross.

Kane grabbed his second 50 minutes in to take his summer tally to three goals after failing to have a shot on target in the first two games.

Henderson’s header looks to have emphatically sealed victory ahead of a clash with Denmark on Wednesday.
