Roberto Mancini’s Italy Starting XI Vs England ‘Leaked’ Ahead Of Euro 2020 Final At Wembley

Roberto Mancini is expected to field the same Italy XI that started in their semi-final win over Spain for the Euro 2020 final against England, according to reports.

Italy have impressed at this summer’s Euros and have remained undefeated en route to the final at Wembley.

Mancini’s men topped Group A ahead of Wales before defeating Austria 2-1 in the round of 16 and claiming a sensational 2-1 win over Belgium in the quarter-finals.

Italy, who are on a scintillating 33-match unbeaten run, punched their ticket to the final of Euro 2020 by beating Spain on penalties at Wembley.

According to The Daily Star, Sky Sports reported on a ‘leaked’ Italy XI that showed Mancini would not make any changes to the team he started with in their semi-final clash.

Mancini opted for a 4-3-3 formation against Spain as Federico Chiesa fired Italy into the lead in the second half.

However, Luis Enrique withdrew Ferran Torres and brought on Alvaro Morata, who pulled back an equaliser with only 10 minutes of normal playing time remaining.

Mancini’s XI against Spain featured Gianluigi Donnarumma between the sticks, with a formidable partnership of Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci protecting the Italy No 1.

Emerson was called up for the left-back position after Leonardo Spinazzola was ruled out due to a ruptured Achilles tendon he suffered in Italy’s win over Belgium.

Joining Chiellini, Bonucci and Emerson in the Italy four-man backline was Giovanni Di Lorenzo at right-back.

Jorginho, whose name has been floated by some as a potential Ballon d’Or contender, started in midfield alongside Nicolo Barella and Marco Verratti.

Chiesa and Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne were deployed as the wingers, with Lazio striker Ciro Immobile leading the frontline for Italy.

Meanwhile, Manuel Locatelli, Andrea Belotti, Domenico Berardi, Matteo Pessina, Federico Bernardeschi and Rafael Toloi were all called into action from the bench.

Speaking ahead of the Euro 2020 final, former Italy manager Antonio Conte has revealed which two England stars that Mancini’s men should target in the clash.

Italy and England will clash on Sunday in the Euro 2020 final at Wembley, which will kick-off at 8pm UK time.
