Manchester United and Leeds United fans were caught on camera as they clashed in Manchester city centre ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game.
The two clubs meet in their opening match of the season on Saturday afternoon, in the first league game between the pair with fans in over 15 years.
Leeds had returned to the top tier last season but Covid-19 stopped fans from being at the games, or even travelling to each rival city for them.
On Saturday, ahead of the 12.30pm kick off, fans were caught around the Spinningfields area of Manchester as they clashed in a violent exchange.

Sirens could be heard in the background of the video, taken from the Deansgate Cafe Nero, before one officer turned up at the end in an attempt to break up the violence.
Fans haven’t been in full attendance at Old Trafford since March 2020, with that being the 2-0 victory over local rivals Manchester City.
Some fans returned for the game against Fulham at the end of last season, where they witnessed Edinson Cavani’s brilliant goal.
Many fans also gathered outside United’s home ground ahead of the league game with Liverpool last season, as they protested the owners following their decision to join the now dormant European Super League.
Fans during Covid and the Super League nonsense seemed to be united but the first time they’ve had to interact with each other, things have turned ugly.
