Willian Facing Arsenal Fan Backlash After Celebrating Chelsea Victory

With Willian already giving off bad energy towards Arsenal fans, things have taken a turn for the worse after the 33-year-old outcast appeared to ‘like’ an Instagram post from Chelsea’s official account.

Having spent seven years at Stamford Bridge, it was seen as a smart piece of business when he arrived at Arsenal on a free transfer. Without really getting going in red and white he is now lingering around on a big contract, something which is infuriating Arsenal’s supporters. That said, there is still hope he can be moved on as the window draws to its close.

Arsenal are still hopeful to find a solution for Willian. He wants to leave the club since May – Arsenal are looking for bids for Willian, Hector Bellerin, Lucas Torreira. 🔴 #AFC

Now he has poured more hot water over the situation. Players these days cannot get away with anything with every move monitored so it should come as no surprise that supporters have reacted badly to the player approving of a post celebrating his former team’s victory in the Premier League in which Romelu Lukaku and Reece James goals secured the points.

Mikel Arteta has described Arsenal’s current predicament as ‘unprecedented.’ High profile players such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hector Bellerin and Alexandre Lacazette all look to have lost complete interest in the cause with some Arsenal fans being of the opinion that the club is more interested in selling merchandise than winning football matches.

As Arsenal try to pick up the pieces of a shambolic start to the season, the club will hope to move these players, including Willian, on from the club – perhaps bringing in a few more fresh faces who will fight for the cause.

For now, as if it didn’t hurt enough, Chelsea are able to look down on Arsenal with pity, as one of their former players who turned out more than 200 times for the club, ultimately showed where his loyalties truly lay in the face of his employers defeat.
