Newcastle United finally have new owners.
Mike Ashley had owned the club since 2007 but has been looking to sell his shares for the past few years.

Fair to say Newcastle fans are relieved that Ashley has finally sold.
Newcastle are now the richest football club in the world, with their new owners believed to have a wealth of £320bn.
They have the money needed to compete on a global level and that’s exactly what Amanda Staveley, Chief Executive Officer of PCP Capital Partners, intends to do.
In a statement on Newcastle’s website, Staveley said: “This is a long-term investment. We are excited about the future prospects for Newcastle United.
“We intend to instill a united philosophy across the Club, establish a clear purpose, and help provide leadership that will allow Newcastle United to go on to big achievements over the long term.
“Our ambition is aligned with the fans – to create a consistently successful team that’s regularly competing for major trophies and generates pride across the globe.”
It’s an exciting time to be a Newcastle fan once again.
