Mohamed Salah is in ridiculous form this season.

The Egyptian has scored nine goals already this season and looks set for an incredible campaign for Liverpool.

But it’s not just his goals.

Salah’s all-around play has been sensational and he showed that once again against Watford in the early kick-off on Saturday.

After a strong opening few minutes from Salah, he produced an incredible assist for Sadio Mane to put the visitors 1-0 ahead.

Salah shrugged off Danny Rose and played a delightful outside-of-the-foot pass for teammate Mane, who scored his 100th Premier League goal.

Incredible assist from an incredible player with many claiming he’s the best player in the world right now.

Mohamed Salah’s assist for Sadio Mane

One man that certainly thinks Salah is the best in the world right now is Liverpool legend, Ian Rush.

“This year? On form? Without a doubt,” Rush told Daily Star Sport for when asked if Salah was a contender for the Ballon d’Or.

“Look at Ronaldo, what he’s done for Manchester United, he’s scored goals and been absolutely fantastic. Messi has gone to Paris Saint-Germain and is just starting to kick on now but on present form, without doubt, Mo Salah is the best in the world.

“I think he’s upped his game again even more. It’s not just his goals either. The assist for Sadio Mane against Manchester City, they’re combining well together and that’s why Liverpool will always score goals.

“The second goal against Manchester City, it was absolutely unbelievable. And what I like about Mo Salah now is that he scored that goal with his right foot.

“I think two years ago he would have gone with his left foot, but to score that goal with his right, shows me that he’s learned and improved even more.

“Yes. Look at the goals he’s scored. He’s scored 100 goals faster than anyone. Don’t tell me you can’t be classed as a legend when he’s like that. Hopefully he’s there for many more years.

“The form he’s in now I would say he’s the best in the world.”
