Manchester City are reportedly ready to double Bernardo Silva’s wages to make him one of the highest-paid players at the Etihad.
Silva has been City’s standout player so far this season and has scored seven goals in 22 appearances in all competitions.
The Sun claim City are now set to double the midfielder’s wages to around £300,000 a week.
It would make him one of the best-paid players at the club, alongside the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling.

Silva came close to leave City in the summer window following Jack Grealish’s arrival at the club in a £100m move from Aston Villa.
However, the Portugal international chose to remain at the Etihad and has now cemented his place in the starting line-up.
Earlier this month, City manager Guardiola heaped praise on Silva for a superb match-winning goal against Aston Villa.

He’s just so unbelievably good. He is the most complete.

“He is the best,” said Guardiola.
“He was the best two or three seasons ago. He was the best then too. He has a special ability to do whatever he wants with the ball.
“Against a good goalkeeper it was an incredible finish.
“You have to go back to when we won with 98 points, review the videos, you will see the same player like this right now.”

Silva, who still has four years left on his current contract at the Etihad, played the full 90 minutes on Sunday as Manchester City thrashed Newcastle 4-0 at St James’ Park.
The win temporarily moved City four points clear at the top of the Premier League ahead of Liverpool’s late kick-off against Tottenham.
It also guaranteed Guardiola’s side would be top of the league at Christmas.
