Mino Raiola revealed that there is a ‘big chance’ that Erling Haaland could leave Borussia Dortmund, with a host of Europe’s top clubs set to enter a bidding war to secure his signature.

Haaland has established his reputation as one of Europe’s top marksmen after netting an astonishing 74 goals in 72 appearances for Dortmund, and Raiola hinted that his client could be on the move at the end of this season, while also offering a subtle dig at Manchester United in the process.

“Maybe this summer, maybe the summer after. But there is a great chance that Erling will leave this summer. We will see,”he told Sport 1.

“Bayern, Real, Barcelona, City – these are the big clubs he can go to. City has won the championship five times in recent years, significantly more than United. When we moved to Dortmund, we all knew that this step would come.”

Manchester City are looking for a striker after missing out on Harry Kane in the summer, and Haaland’s father Alf-Inge also played for the club, which may give them an edge in trying to secure his services.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are eyeing up a big-name signing next summer, and have been strongly tipped to bring Kylian Mbappe in on a free transfer when his current Paris Saint Germain contract expires.

Barcelona seem less likely to make an approach for Haaland given their dire financial situation, but could raise funds for a deal after the Daily Mail reports they have transfer listed Frenkie de Jong, Sergino Dest and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

But Haaland’s focus remains on the Bundesliga for now, as his attention turns to a clash away at VfL Bochum on Saturday. They currently sit second in the table with 30 points from 14 games – four adrift of league leaders Bayern Munich.
