Fiorentina’s ultras have placed intimidating banners outside the club’s stadium, threatening and insulting striker Dusan Vlahovic over his expected move to rivals Juventus.
Vlahovic’s future has been the subject of intense speculation this month, with a number of clubs – including Arsenal – keen to sign the 21-year-old.
According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Vlahovic has settled on a move to Juventus and has already agreed terms with the Old Lady.
Juventus remain in talks with Fiorentina but a deal is said to be close.
Fiorentina’s ultras have been angered by Vlahovic’s proposed move to Turin and have unveiled a series of threatening banners outside the Artemio Franchi Stadium.
One read: “Your guards won’t save your life, it’s over for you” alongside a racial slur, according to Football Italia.
Another banner, which also included racist language, read: “Goals are not enough to earn respect.”
Last month, Inter Milan ultras issued a brutal response to Romelu Lukaku after the Chelsea striker admitted he would like to return to the club in the future.
Lukaku left Inter to rejoin Chelsea in the summer in a £97.5m move but has struggled in his first season back in English football.
In an explosive interview with Sky Sport Italia, Lukaku apologised to the Inter fans for the manner of his departure from the club.
But Inter’s ultras, Curva Nord, were unimpressed by Lukaku’s apology – hanging a banner outside the San Siro, which read: “It doesn’t matter who runs away in the rain, it matters who stays in the storm.
“Bye Romelu.”
