Jose Mourinho Reportedly Accused Referee Of Being ‘Sent By Juventus’, Facing Three-Game Suspension
Mourinho, not for the first time, was furious with the referee’s performance and vented while on the touchline.

In the stoppage time, he was sent off by Luca Pairetto.
He looked to have produced a telephone gesture at the official – in reference to the ref’s father Pierluigi – who was the Italian vice chairman of UEFA referees committee during the 2006 match fixing scandal that shook Italian football.
According to La Stampa, Mourinho made another reference to the Calciopoli scandal as he accused Pairetto “being sent by Juventus”.

When the referee only signalled 4 minutes of stoppage time during Roma v Verona, Mourinho made the ‘telephone’ gesture and shouted at the referee:
“They sent you on purpose, Juventus sent you.”

The Portuguese manager also booted the ball away in frustration and when the red card was shown to him, Mourinho had to be restrained by his goalkeeping coach Nuno Santos as he continued to fume at the referee.
He did make sure to shake the hand of Verona boss Igor Tudor and waved to the Roma fans.
But Mourinho’s antics could see the former Chelsea and Inter Milan manager hit with a two or three game ban.
Back in Italy for a second managerial stint, Mourinho has been his usual animated self on the touchline.
In the 0-0 draw with Napoli in October, the 59-year-old was given two yellow cards and sent to the stands in the 81st minute.

Mourinho then posted footage on Instagram of his experience watching the remainder of the clash while climbing on a glass panelled railing to shout instructions.
Mourinho captioned the clip: “When you have no ticket and you desperately want to watch a great football game.”
Mourinho’s opposite number Luciano Spalletti was also sent off for sarcastically applauding the referee after the final whistle.
Roma are currently in eighth place in Serie A, six points behind fourth-placed Juventus.
