On Tuesday evening, Liverpool blew Manchester United away for the second time in 2021/22.
The Reds defeated their fierce rivals 5-0 at Old Trafford earlier in the season and were victorious by a 4-0 scoreline at Anfield to move temporarily top of the Premier League table.
Mohamed Salah netted a brilliant brace to end his recent goal mini goal drought, with Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane the other scorers.
All three players also contributed assists at Anfield, with Mane’s undoubtedly the pick of the bunch.
For Salah’s first goal, the Senegalese forward played an insane lofted pass over the United defence, which landed straight at his teammate’s feet.
Salah collected the ball brilliantly and then finished past a despairing David de Gea to put Liverpool 2-0 ahead.

Salah’s return to goalscoring form was another huge bonus for Liverpool on Tuesday night, one that significantly strengthens the team’s chances of winning a quadruple.
The Egyptian superstar now has 22 goals in Premier League action this season, which is five more than Tottenham Hotspur‘s Heung-min Son in second place.
Salah also has 12 assists to his name in 2021/22 after teeing up Diaz against United, which is the joint-most along with teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Not bad, Mo.
