There was pure chaos just before half-time in the Serie A clash between Juventus and Inter Milan on Sunday evening.

The game at the Allianz Stadium was of the utmost importance.

Juventus and Inter went into the Serie A clash in 4th and 3rd respectively and separated by just one point.

Both sides needed a victory with just over a month left to go in the season.

After a goalless 45 minutes, it was Inter who took the lead in first-half stoppage time. And it came in chaotic fashion.

Denzel Dumfries went down inside the box and Inter were given a penalty after a VAR check.

Hakan Çalhanoğlu stepped up and saw his effort saved by Wojciech Szczęsny.

Szczęsny could only parry the ball out though and the rebound was scrambled in.

However, the referee disallowed the goal for a foul and Juve were given a free-kick.

That wasn’t the end of the drama, though.

Inter were ordered to retake the penalty once again as a number of Juventus players had encroached the box.

Both Inter and Juventus’ players surrounded the referee and it took a few minutes until the tension was defused.

Calhanoglu then stepped up again and he kept his cool as he fired his effort past Szczęsny at the second time of asking.

It’s fair to say Allegri didn’t agree with the referees decision.

We can’t wait to see his post-match interview should Juventus go on to lose the game.
