Pedri underlined his incredible talent with a breathtaking winner for Barcelona against Sevilla in their La Liga clash on Sunday evening.

Barca have not given up on winning the La Liga title and needed a victory against Sevilla at Camp Nou.

However, Barca struggled to find a way past Sevilla’s inspired goalkeeper, Yassine Bounou.

The game remained goalless after 70 minutes and it was starting to look like the two sides would share the spoils.

But then Pedri popped up with a magical goal for Barca.

The 19-year-old picked up the ball roughly 25 yards out.

He sent former Barca man Ivan Rakitic flying after faking to shoot. He then did exactly the same thing to fool another defender.

The youngster then pulled the trigger from the edge of the box and his effort found the corner of the net. Watch the goal below…

Barcelona held on to a crucial 1-0 victory. Xavi raved about Pedri’s brilliance in his post-match interview.

“He is a superlative player,” Xavi said of Pedri to reporters, per Goal. “He has scored an extraordinary goal. He makes a difference. It is a spectacle to watch him play. And he is only 19 years old. He has no comparison.

“It’s a transcendental goal. It’s pure adrenaline. I had the feeling that it was going to come. I like to win. I believed that the team deserved it.

“We didn’t send a message to anyone. We sent it to ourselves. We won and enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere is extraordinary. And in La Liga, as long as the math doesn’t say otherwise, we’ll keep fighting”.

Barca have now cut the gap to Real Madrid at the top of the table to 12 points. They also have a game-in-hand over Los Blancos.

It’ll be very tough but Barca’s hopes of catching Real and winning their 27th La Liga title are still alive.
