Dembele picked out De Jong who superbly laid up Torres with a delicate flick. The former Manchester City man then returned the ball to De Jong who hit a first-time pass to the forward.

Torres took one touch before sliding the ball into the back of the net to complete a glorious team move.

The scintillating one-touch football sent social media wild, with fans hailing the influence of Xavi.

One Twitter user wrote: “Xavi’s influence all over this.”

A second tweeted: “Xavi got Barca playing again.”

A third added: “Looks like I might need to start watching Barca again. That spark that’s been missing for so long is back.”

Xavi, who has Barca DNA coursing through his veins, is slowly but surely resurrecting the Catalans giants having claimed some big wins recenlty.

Barca won in Turkey to book their spot in the Europa League quarter-final and smashed arch rivals Real Madrid.

They also beat Sevilla to move to second in La Liga.

Xavi has only been in charge of Barca since November 2021, but has already made a huge impact at the club.
