Raphinha was bizarrely targeted with paper balls by his OWN fans during Leeds United‘s home defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.

Leeds fans pelted Jack Grealish with paper balls in the second half, with some supporters also weirdly taking aim at one of their own players.

The Brazilian winger was about to take a corner kick until he was interrupted by paper balls thrown onto the pitch by Leeds fans.

He didn’t look happy and appeared to have a word as he kicked away the paper balls before eventually whipping a ball into the box.

Raphinha’s reaction to Leeds fans throwing paper balls at him didn’t go unnoticed on social media.

One Twitter user wrote: “Our fans are really embarrassing today.”

A second tweeted:” Then throwing it at Raphinha too. He got p**sed at it and rightly so. Disgraceful and nothing to be happy with.”

A third added: “A terrible look for the club – glad Raphinha had a word. Infantile behaviour.”

Leeds fought valiantly in the first half as they trailed 1-0 at the break.

However, Pep Guardiola’s team produced a brilliant second half display as they scored three goals without reply to win 4-0.
