Christian Eriksen made his debut for Manchester United in their pre-season match against Atletico Madrid at the Ullevaal Stadion in Norway on Saturday afternoon.

Joao Felix scored the only goal of the game in the 87th minute as Atletico won 1-0.

The Portuguese international picked up the ball on the left-hand side, cut inside and fired a fierce left-footed striker into the bottom corner.

Fred received his marching orders late on after fouling and then treading on Alvaro Morata.

Eriksen’s performance was one of the biggest positives for United.

The Dane came on in the 69th minute as he replaced Anthony Martial.

Eriksen looked lively during his short cameo. He could have had two assists shortly after coming on.

The 30-year-old pinged a menacing cross into the box which Anthony Elanga came ever so close to getting on the end of.

Moments later, Eriksen whipped a delicious ball into the box that Harry Maguire headed wide when he really should have scored.
