Cesc Fabregas names the one Arsenal player who is the ‘complete package’ ahead of Man City clash

Former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has heaped praise on one Arsenal man ahead of their crucial potential ‘title decider’ at the Etihad on Easter Sunday.

We have been gifted one of the tightest title races in the Premier League era this season, with Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool separated by just one point with ten games remaining.

Currently, it’s Mikel Arteta’s men who hold the advantage, but the script could be completely slipped in all of the team’s favour depending on this weekend’s results. If either of the two facing off this weekend get the three points they will feel in control, however, if the match at the Etihad finishes all square and Liverpool beat Fulham they will be the ones in control.

Ahead of the weekend’s match, former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Fabregas gave his verdict on the two teams and picked out Declan Rice as the key man.

Rice hit a personal milestone over the international break by captaining England for the first time in his career against Belgium at Wembley.

Previewing the upcoming match on the Planet Premier League podcast, the World Cup winner described the England midfielder as ‘the complete package.’

“He’s brought dynamism, physicality, quality, intelligence, maturity. He’s the complete package in midfield, in my opinion,” Fabregas explained.

“He can play also as a double-pivot, he can play by himself, he can play higher up as a No.8 and I think he looks like a very intelligent boy.

“He knows his limitations as well so I feel safe. I see him play and I’m like: “I don’t think this boy will make a mistake in this game!” He added.

“Listen, I don’t know what will happen on Sunday, but he gives you that trust that, in midfield, in big games, you want players who take responsibility, have personality, players who you can trust, especially against a top Manchester City team when they have so many players in midfield with so much quality.

“I think Arsenal, Arsenal fans, and Mikel, when they have Declan in there they feel safe. That’s a very big plus for the team,” The 36-year-old concluded.
