Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid thrown into doubt by PSG manager Luis Enrique

Luis Enrique has spoken about Kylian Mbappe’s future amid rumors that he will move to Real Madrid in the summer.

Back in February, it was reported that Mbappe has finally made a decision on his Paris Saint Germain future.

According to The Athletic, the 25-year-old has told the Parc des Princes club that he will leave when the current campaign draws close.

Since then, it has been widely reported that Mbappe will leave Paris for Spanish La Liga giants Madrid in the summer.

However, speaking ahead of PSG’s match against Marseille, Enrique has spoken about the possibility of another Mbappe U-turn.

The Spaniard told Prime Video: “I’m still hoping that Kylian will change his mind. He hasn’t said anything yet. He can still change his mind.

“Let’s imagine that we win four titles this season and Kylian makes his choice at the last moment and decides that his place is in Paris. Why not?”

Enrique added: “Anything is possible in life. Our aim is to win this match.

“I need to have a general view of the team. There will be people who don’t agree.”

Aside from Madrid, Premier League clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Mbappe.

Speaking last month, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said: “I’m not. Maybe Edu and the owners are but I’m not involved until the last stage.

“Why not? If we want to be the best team, you need to have the best players, that’s for sure.”

He continued: “The club that we are, I don’t think that’s ever been an issue. Everyone wants to play for Arsenal.

“At least with the players we’ve discussed, they’ve always had a smile on their face when you open the door to that discussion. That’s because of our history and everything we’ve done in the past.

“When there is a player of that caliber, we always have to be in that conversation. But it looks differently, that’s what I would say.”
