Nottingham Forest could be in huge trouble after astonishing social media post following Everton defeat

Nottingham Forest could be in big trouble with the Premier League after an astonishing post which appeared to question the integrity of the officials.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side lost 2-0 in the relegation six-pointer against Everton, with Idrissa Gueye and Dwight McNeil on target in a massive win for the Toffees.

Forest are just point above 18th placed Luton Town after the defeat for the club’s social media admin has caused a serious stir.

Over on X, the club’s official account bemoaned three penalties not being awarded – including two incidents involving Ashley Young.

They went on to claim that Stuart Attwell, the official on VAR, supports relegation rivals Luton and hinted at bias.

The post read: “Three extremely poor decisions – three penalties not given – which we simply cannot accept.

“We warned the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change him. Our patience has been tested multiple times. “

Forest have been on the receiving end of a points deduction for financial breaches but they will surely feel the wrath of the FA for the unprecedented post.

The East Midlands club have been furious with a slew of decisions which they believe have gone against them this season.

Following Willy Bolly’s controversial dismissal against Bournemouth in December, the club reportedly lodged an official complaint and demanded that Rob Jones be banned from refereeing their games.
