England have been charged by UEFA after a fan pointed a laser at Kasper Schmeichel’s face during their victory over Denmark at Euro 2020.
The incident took place as Harry Kane stepped up to take a penalty in the semi-final clash at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday.
A video surfaced online showing Schmeichel’s face being lit up by a laser just before the spot-kick in extra-time.

he Leicester City goalkeeper saved the penalty, but Kane scored the rebound to net the eventual winner.
The Three Lions are also charged with causing a ‘disturbance’ during Denmark’s national anthem and setting off fireworks.
A statement reads: “The case will be dealt with by the Uefa Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) in due course.”

England will face Italy in Sunday’s final after beating Denmark 2-1.
