After Real Madrid’s impressive 4-0 victory over Barcelona in the Copa del Rey, Manchester United’s young talent, Alejandro Garnacho, sparked some controversy on Instagram with his response to Vinicius Junior’s post.
Vinicius, who scored one of Madrid’s goals and assisted Karim Benzema in netting a hat-trick, had posted about the win on social media.
Garnacho’s reply to the post caught attention, as it was seen as a provocative gesture towards Barcelona and their manager Xavi. This crushing defeat was a significant setback for Barcelona, who are currently leading La Liga by 12 points.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, will now face Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final on May 6.

A deflated Xavi, on the other hand,told reporters: “We’re hurt today, yes. It will be hard to sleep, more so as the big Barça fan that I am.
“I told the players (this could happen), we had chances but went in at 1-0. It’s a shame because we competed well in the first half and that was our moment.
“In the second Madrid were better, sincerely, they were better physically, they pressed us high. There are no excuses.”
According to the given context, Alejandro Garnacho responded to Vinicius Junior’s Instagram post with the word “Normal” along with two laughing emojis.
This comment was interpreted by many as a disrespectful gesture towards Barcelona, who had just suffered a humiliating defeat to Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey.
Barcelona fans, it’s fair to say, are not amused by Garnacho’s comment.
They’ve labelled him “embarrassing” and much worse on Twitter since the comment emerged.
Does Garnacho have an issue with Barcelona?
This isn’t the first time that Garnacho has had beef with Barça supporters this season.
In February, after Manchester United knocked Barcelona out of the Europa League, Alejandro Garnacho was accused of trolling Pedri by mimicking his celebration.
This incident created controversy and fueled tensions between the two clubs’ supporters.
