Anthony Elanga delivered a moment of brilliance as he outclassed Mykhailo Mudryk in Nottingham Forest’s impressive victory over Chelsea.
Elanga netted the solitary goal of the match by capitalizing on a mistake by Moises Caicedo, granting Forest a significant away win.
Chelsea’s £115 million midfielder lost possession, allowing Taiwo Awoniyi to retrieve the ball and deliver a pass to the former Manchester United winger.
Elanga then skillfully took a couple of touches to steady himself before finding the back of the net, securing the lead at Stamford Bridge for his team.
In the dying moments of stoppage time, he nearly added a breathtaking second goal when he outpaced Chelsea’s Ukrainian star.
A late sprint led to a face-off between Elanga and Mudryk, with the Swede choosing to take the ball to the corner flag instead of heading into the box.
But he had other ideas once he got forced out wide as he beat Noni Madueke before destroying Mudryk in a sensational sequence.

After beating Madueke and Mudryk, Elanga smashed the post as he failed to round off his move with a goal.
But his moment of magic sent social media wild as Man United fans online made their feelings known about the sale of the player this summer.
One X user wrote: “Antony hasn’t done this once, doesn’t mean Elanga should have stayed but raises a lot of questions.”
A second said: “I said repeatedly loan is the move and selling him permanently is a disaster. Missed out on – £50-55m extra.”
A third added: “We sold an absolute monster.”
A fourth said: “We sold him and kept the fidget spinner and bumcho.”
Another commented: “Tidy. But should have squared it! Happy for him. Let him cook.”
