Belgium Score Two ‘PlayStation Goals’ vs Denmark And It Proves Kevin De Bruyne Is A Cheat Code

On Thursday night, Belgium scored two spectacular team goals against Denmark in Group B, and commentator Ally McCoist felt he was seeing something out of a computer game.

Roberto Martinez’s team, who beat Russia convincingly in their Euro opener, got off to the worst possible start as Yussuf Poulsen capitalised on a defensive blunder by Jason Denayer.

The Red Devils struggled throughout the first 45 minutes, managing only one attempt on goal in a dreadful – and unexpected – half of football at Copenhagen’s Parken Stadium.

After a poor first half, Belgium came out of the break looking entirely different, with the switch of Kevin De Bruyne for Dries Mertens proving to be a brilliant move as Belgium increased the ante.

De Bruyne was prominently engaged in the equaliser, despite missing Saturday’s match against Russia due to an acute nasal bone fracture and a left orbital fracture.

He sent the ball to Thorgan Hazard, who tapped home a fantastic team effort. “It’s just a PlayStation goal,” remarked analyst Ally McCoist, who has been brilliant throughout the tournament. “It’s fantastic…absolutely fantastic!”

Belgium continued to dominate in large spells and, after they brought on Eden Hazard and Axel Witsel just before the hour mark, things went from bad to worse for the helpess Danes as an electric De Bruyne netted another wonderful team goal.

Denmark threatened late on with a number of efforts but Belgium managed to hold on. They top Group B with six points from two games and face Finland on Monday.
