Bukayo Saka displayed an unforgettable response upon learning that Arsenal fans value his stay at the club over winning the Premier League.
During the PFA Young Player of the Year ceremony at the Lowry Theatre in Manchester on Tuesday, Saka, the England international, was awarded this accolade. Fellow Arsenal academy graduate Jack Wilshere presented him with the award.
Saka’s remarkable season, featuring 15 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League, contributed to Arsenal securing a second-place finish behind Manchester City. This achievement also ensured their qualification for the Champions League.
Saka emerged victorious over contenders such as PFA Player of the Year recipient and record-breaker Erling Haaland, Jacob Ramsey, Evan Ferguson, and Moises Caicedo.
Becoming a crucial component of Mikel Arteta’s team, Saka signed a substantial long-term contract extension until 2027 in May.
His significance to the club has grown immensely, so much so that numerous Arsenal fans have expressed a sentiment of preferring to retain him rather than secure a league title.

A slew of Gunners supporters were asked to pick between the two in February last year and the results were overwhelming.
One said: “Never! That’s not worth it. That’s our star boy, that’s like your son.”
Another commented: “Trust the process, keep Saka win win the Champions League next year.”
A third person said, “It’s not a deal worth even contemplating!”.

After picking up his latest accolade, Saka was shown that very same video and his reaction was utterly brilliant.
Watching the clips of Arsenal fans expressing their love for him, Saka said: “Wait… to win the league or sell me? Wow that’s real love you know. That’s real talk. He said it’s not even contemplating!
“That’s real love, I appreciate that. And I hope I can pay off the faith.”
Saka was on target in Arsenal’s disappointing 2-2 draw against 10-man Fulham at the weekend. Their attentions are now firmly on a huge clash with Manchester United on Sunday.
