Bukayo Saka’s transfer value has risen by an astonishing 582% in just over three years, according to the latest data.
Saka penned fresh terms keeping him at Arsenal until 2027 on Tuesday, with the 21-year-old set to become one of the Premier League’s highest earners.
His wages are expected to more than quadruple after journalistDavid Ornstein revealed he would receive nearly £15 million per year thanks to bonuses and other add-ons.
However, it is not just his pay packet that has sky-rocketed this season.
Saka was valued at €22 million in March 2020, according toTransfermarkt.
CIESnow estimate that he’s worth €150m – a staggering rise of €127m in just three seasons.
The increase places Saka in the top 10 most expensive players on the planet, in a list which includes England teammates Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden, as presented by CIES.
Fellow Gunners winger Gabriel Martinelli isn’t far behind either, with the Brazilian ranking in the top 20, and reportedly worth €100m.
Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe top the list, with the pair worth an eye-watering €250m.
Erling Haaland and Bellingham follow them with a value of €200m, and Saka makes up the top five.
Barcelona midfield duo Pedri Gonzalez and Pablo Gavi take up the sixth and seventh spot, also worth €150m.
While Real Madrid’s Rodrygo Goes, Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala and Manchester City’s Foden complete the top 10, all priced at €150m.
Saka will hope to translate his enormous price tag onto the pitch next season, as Arsenal seek to challenge for the Premier League title once more.
Speaking to Arsenal’s website regarding his new deal, the Hale End graduate explained: “I’m just really happy. There’s been a lot of talking and it’s been a while, but I’m here now.
“I think this is the right club, the right place, to make the next step. It’s a beautiful club – look where we are.
“For me, it’s about achieving my personal ambitions; how much I push myself and demand from myself each game, week in, week out.
