The UEFA Champions League in 2021–22 will be the 67th season of UEFA’s elite club football competition and the 30th since it changed from the European Champion Clubs’ Cup to the UEFA Champions League.
In Saint Petersburg, Russia, the final will be held at the Krestovsky Stadium. The Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, was supposed to host the event.  However, the final hosts were pushed back a year due to the postponement and relocation of 2020 last, with Saint Petersburg hosting 2022 final instead. UEFA will organize three major European club competitions (UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and the newly formed UEFA Europa Conference League) for the first time since 1998–99 (the last season when the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup played). The Champions League’s structure remains unchanged, but teams eliminated in the preliminary round and first qualification round of the competition moved to the Europa Conference League rather than the Europa League.
