A compilation of Sofyan Amrabat’s full debut for Manchester United against Crystal Palace has gained significant attention and gone viral.
Amrabat, who arrived at Manchester United from Fiorentina on a season-long loan with an option to buy in the summer, made his first appearance for his new team in a cameo role against Burnley last weekend.
However, he was given his first start for the Red Devils in the Carabao Cup match against Crystal Palace, and his performance generated considerable interest and discussion.
And he delivered a stellar showing at Old Trafford as he was trending on social media following his performance, producing impressive statistics.
Amrabat was employed at left-back but drifted into the middle of the park, where he showed off his range of passing and vision.
He also put in a shift defensively, closing Palace midfielders down and retrieved the ball in a combative outing.
The double pivot of Amrabat and Casemiro looks promising ahead of Erik ten Hag potentially using them in a Premier League fixture.

The 27-year-old, who was replaced in the 61st minute as he nears full fitness, spoke to Sky Sports after the result and joked he would play as a goalkeeper for Ten Hag.
“I told the manager I will play where [he] needs me and where the team needs me, even if it is a goalkeeper!” He said.
“I play where I can help the team, today it was left-back. I had a bit of a free role, I think you saw I played a bit in midfield, so it was nice, it was good.”
The Moroccan international added: “I think it was a perfect night.
“We played very well and, most importantly, we won 3-0. I played one hour, so I think it was perfect.
“Since I was a child I worked for this [moment]. I worked very hard for my whole career and life [for this], so it was amazing to play here.
“Today is a Tuesday and the stadium was full, it is fantastic.”
Amrabat could make his first start in the Premier League when Man United resume their campaign on Saturday against Palace.
