Following his one-on-one opportunity in Al Nassr’s loss to Al Taawoun, some unforgiving fans are labeling Cristiano Ronaldo as ‘finished’.
Despite leading his team to victory in the Arab Club Champions Cup the previous weekend, Ronaldo’s squad has now suffered consecutive defeats in the Saudi Pro League.
On Monday, Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq secured a 2-1 win over Al Nassr, and on Friday, Al Taawoun also emerged victorious against them.
Leandre Tawamba initiated the scoring in the 20th minute, and the visitors clinched the victory deep into stoppage time with Ahmed Bahusayn’s goal.
The five-time Ballon d’Or recipient failed to make a significant impact on the game and was culpable for squandering a prime opportunity just after the hour mark, albeit being flagged offside.
In a scenario where he was put through on goal, Ronaldo attempted to outmaneuver the goalkeeper but faltered in his execution, resulting in the ball being subsequently cleared.

Had the 38-year-old scored, it wouldn’t have counted as he was offside. But that didn’t stop supporters on social media from mocking the superstar forward.
One simply wrote: “Finished.”
A second Twitter user added: “Man is finished.”
A third tweeted: “Finished player.”
A fourth said: “Man is so finished.”
Another commented: “Washed up player…”
Al Nassr are currently hovering one place above the relegation zone as they occupy 15th spot, having lost their opening two league games of the season.
Ronaldo could return to action next Tuesday when his side take on Shabab Al Ahli in the AFC Champions League.
They resume their league campaign next Friday when they take on Al Fateh.
Will Al Nassr claim their first points of the new Saudi Pro League campaign against Al Fateh?
