This week, reports have emerged that Ronaldo is preparing to take legal action against his former club, Juventus, over unpaid wages.
According to Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is pursuing the €19.9 million that he was promised by the Serie A club when he agreed to defer his salary during the COVID pandemic.

It is believed that Ronaldo has decided to begin legal action against Juventus after asking for the relevant documents from the Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Aside from Ronaldo, another former Juventus player is also set to be about to sue the club.
Defender Leonard Bonucci is set to begin legal action against the club over training conditions.
It is claimed that his lawyers will proceed with the legal action, consisting of a ‘request for compensation for damages due to the alleged lack of adequate training and preparation conditions available to Bonucci’.
