Incriminating footage of Jadon Sancho training with Manchester United has resurfaced in the midst of his public dispute with Erik ten Hag.
On Sunday afternoon, Manchester United suffered a dramatic 3-1 defeat to Arsenal, slipping into the lower half of the Premier League table.
In a match that was finely balanced at 1-1, substitute Alejandro Garnacho appeared to have secured a late victory for United in stoppage time, only for his goal to be disallowed by the slimmest of offside calls.
Declan Rice, a recent addition to Arsenal, then arrived at the back-post to score his inaugural goal for the Gunners, sending the Emirates Stadium into jubilation. Gabriel Jesus later sealed the victory with a well-taken finish.
However, it was Erik ten Hag’s post-match comments regarding Jadon Sancho that garnered attention. Ten Hag disclosed that Sancho had been excluded from the match-day squad due to training issues, and footage has since resurfaced showing the Englishman performing less than convincing push-ups at Carrington. You can view the video below.
Sancho in training, Remember this?, I got crucified for this a couple of months ago when I spoke about details, if you aspire to be the best it’s fine margins that get you over the line. Slacking in training doesn’t win you major titles. pic.twitter.com/gqLMFHL52f

The 23-year-old can be seen in the background performing a slightly more relaxed version of Bruno Fernandes’ push-ups, somewhat proving his manager’s comments right.
However, Sancho has branded Ten Hag’s criticism “untrue”, stating that he has ‘conducted himself very well in training’.
“Please don’t believe everything you read,” Sancho said in a post on social media. “I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week,” he said.
“I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!
“All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team. I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge.
“I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!”
