Despite being 48 years old, David Beckham, the co-owner of Inter Miami, displayed his football skills by delivering a free-kick during a recent kickabout at the DRV PNK Stadium that even Lionel Messi would have been proud of.
During Inter Miami’s home match in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday night, Beckham was in the stands as his team secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Atlanta United, securing their place in the knockout stages of the Leagues Cup.
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi, the recent addition to the club after his much-talked-about exit from Paris Saint-Germain, scored two goals in the first half of the game, showcasing his talent and impact on the team.
After Messi’s brilliant performance and Finland-born midfielder Robert Taylor’s goal that sealed the game, Inter Miami celebrated their success with the presence of prominent figures from the music industry, including P Diddy, Camila Cabello, and DJ Khaled.
Amid the hectic weeks for Inter Miami and their owner David Beckham, the football legend managed to find some time to exhibit his skills and score a wonderful free-kick at the DRV PNK Stadium. His passion for the sport continues to shine, even as an owner of the club.

David Beckham’s free-kick prowess was on full display as he beat the goalkeeper from just outside the area, utilizing his trademark run-up and strike during the kickabout at the DRV PNK Stadium.
After scoring the impressive free-kick, Beckham shared the footage on his official TikTok page with the caption: “Guess I’m coming back [laughing emoji].”
This light-hearted comment from the former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and LA Galaxy midfielder sparked quick reactions on social media. Fans and followers were thrilled to witness Beckham’s football skills and were playfully intrigued by the possibility of him making a comeback to the professional game, even if just for a moment of nostalgia.
Beckham’s enduring popularity and footballing prowess continue to captivate audiences, leaving a lasting impact on the world of football and beyond.
One fan wrote: “Come back for one more season please,” while another commented: “Beckham could still play for Inter Miami… who agrees?”
A third said: “Watching that Messi free-kick on his debut inspired Beckham.”
A fourth added: “Bro really should un-retire just for one game to come on as a late substitute to play with Messi, not going to lie.”

Messi’s arrival to Major League Soccer is arguably the biggest to date, and soon after the deal was officially announced, Inter Miami co-owner Beckham opened up on the ‘dream’ signing.
“Ten years ago, when I started my journey to build a new team in Miami, I said that I dreamt of bringing the greatest players in the world to this amazing city,” he said.
“Players who shared the ambition I had when I joined LA Galaxy to help grow football in the USA and to build a legacy for the next generation in this sport that we love so much.
“Today, that dream came true. I couldn’t be prouder that a player of Leo’s caliber is joining our club, but I am also delighted to welcome a good friend, an amazing person, and his beautiful family to join our Inter Miami community.
“The next phase of our adventure starts here, and I can’t wait to see Leo take to the pitch.”
