David de Gea was active on social media after his former club Manchester United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle on Saturday evening.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper, who recently met with officials to discuss the project and vision of Spanish second division club Eldense, is still a free agent after failing to agree terms on a new contract at Old Trafford.
He has since been linked with many clubs, including Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
He was recently touted to make an unexpected return to Manchester United on a short-term deal as Andre Onana looks set to join up with the Cameroon squad for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
But the Spaniard is still looking for a new club as his former side continues to blow hot and cold.
United, who had previously been on an impressive run of form in the league, struggled in large spells on a freezing Saturday night at St James’ Park.
A second-half strike from Anthony Gordon sealed all three points for Eddie Howe’s side, who outclassed and outworked their Premier League opponents from minute one.
And after the full-time whistle, David de Gea took to social media platformXto post another one of his ‘cryptic’ emoji messages.
One fan commented on the post, saying: “For a supposed ‘club legend’, he really does act like a child,” while another said: “Rattled yanited fans with one emoji again. Keep cooking.”
A third wrote: “Clearly talking about the weather. So many insecure people on this app,” and a fourth added: “Triggered an entire fanbase with one emoji describing the weather.”

Erik ten Hag, meanwhile, was positive about his team’s response to going 1-0 down against Newcastle.
“We had a tough first half and said at half-time we were pleased to be in the game,” he toldTNT Sportsin his post-match interview.
“All over, you have to say Newcastle deserved to win…”

“We had a good comeback in the last part of the game. We will talk tomorrow with the team about it. We go back, we will talk about this and move to Wednesday.”
He added: “We should have taken three points, it’s clear, but also in other games, home against Galatasaray, away at Copenhagen. I compliment the team and in the same moment I criticise them, and myself as we are not defending good enough. We were leading 3-1 and you can’t afford such mistakes.
“I am pleased at how dynamic and brave the team was. We created so many chances, especially at the end. Big chances. We played good football.
“I blame myself if we go out. Know that we are in a project and we are improving. We are in the right direction. I know where we have to go, what steps to take and I’m sure we will be successful in the long term but if you want to stay in the Champions League you need to win these games.”
