Erling Haaland gives yet another brilliant interview after scoring record-breaking goal

Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland gave a brilliant interview after netting a record-breaking 35th goal in the Premier League against West Ham United.

Heading into the match against David Moyes’ men on Wednesday, City were looking to get the three points they needed to leapfrog Arsenal and return to the top of the table.

During the first half, City controlled the match and created a few chances but they were faced with a stubborn Hammers defence.

In the second half, Nathan Ake headed City in front with 50 minutes on the clock.

With 20 minutes left, the headlines were written as Haaland was played through on goal by Jack Grealish.

The 22-year-old cooly finished off the move to score his 35th goal in the Premier League, breaking the record set by Alan Shearer and Andy Cole.

After the match, Haaland was in fine form during his post-match interview with Sky Sports.

He said: “Special night. A special moment, I am really happy and proud, what more is there to say?

“Of course I knew about it, we tried to create the chances to score goals, but they didn’t make it easy, they came to defend for 90 minutes.

“Me and Jack spoke before the game, he said he wanted to give me the assist for the record-breaking goal. Perfect ball from Jack.”

On the guard of honour he received from his teammates, he added: “I was really grateful for the guard of honour, everyone hit me in the back, but I am really lucky.”

When asked about breaking even more records this season, Haaland said: “I’m going to wake up tomorrow and think about trying to get three points against Leeds…

“I cannot keep thinking about these records or else I would become crazy. I will go home, play some video games, eat something, then sleep…”

However, he refused to reveal what video game he plays as he said it would be ‘too embarrassing’.

City will be back in Premier League action on Saturday as they take on Leeds United.
