Erling Haaland shakes his head after Young Boys player asks for his shirt at half-time

Young Boys defender Mohamed Ali Camara was desperate to get his hands on Erling Haaland’s match-worn shirt during their Champions League clash at the Etihad.

Pep Guardiola’s side eased to a 3-0 win over their Group G opponents on Tuesday night, as goals from Erling Haaland [2] and Phil Foden sealed another effortless victory in Europe’s elite competition.

Haaland, who has already scored 13 goals in all competitions for City this season, opened the scoring from the spot before Foden doubled their lead after a superb solo run.

Moments later, referee Erik Lambrechts blew his whistle for half-time and – much to his surprise – Haaland was approached by Young Boys centre-back Mohamed Ali Camara.

As you can see from the footage below, the 23-year-old appeared to shake his head before begrudgingly handing over the number 9 jersey.

Away from the shirt incident and Haaland kept his Ballon d’Or promise by performing Didier Drogba’s celebration during Tuesday night’s Champions League tie.

At last month’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, the Norwegian was awarded the prestigious Gerd Muller Trophy in recognition of his 56-goal debut season for the Citizens.

And during his speech, former Chelsea and Ivory Coast forward Didier Drogba, who was hosting the ceremony alongside Sandy Heribert, made a celebration-related comment.

He said: “For your next goal I challenge you… you have to choose between the Didier Drogba celebration and the Gary Lineker celebration.”

Eight days on and Haaland lived up to his promise, just moments after netting from the spot.

Manchester City currently lead Group G with four wins in four, while Swiss Super League leaders Young Boys remain winless.
