Manchester United fans are all saying the same thing about Hannibal Mejbri following his first-half showing against Newcastle United.
Mejbri returned to the starting XI for Man United’s Carabao Cup clash against Newcastle on Wednesday.
He started in the middle of the park alongside Casemiro, with both players picking up a caution inside 18 minutes.
The 20-year-old was cautioned for an aerial clash with Sean Longstaff in the 14th minute.
Moments later, the budding midfielder lunged recklessly into Emile Kraft but avoided a second yellow card.
Man United supporters on social media all made the same point about the Tunisian international as they love his intensity but claim he needs to work on his aggression.
One X user wrote: “I like Hannibal, but bro really needs to work on his aggression.”
A second tweeted: “Someone must tell Hannibal the aggression is great but this is not Street Fighter.”
A third added: “Is Hannibal trying so hard to get a red card?”
A fourth said: “Ten Hag needs to sub Hannibal he can’t do anything in the midfield now without risking red. Like playing with 2 and a 1/2 midfielders.”

On commentary, Gary Neville thought Mejbri should have been sent off.
“Hannibal should be off,” he said. “He’s lucky because the referee didn’t want to send him off. He’s got to be careful to say the least – he’s hanging in there by a thread.”
Mejbri was partially to blame for Newcastle’s opening goal as he failed to intercept Tino Livramento, who eventually picked out Miguel Almiron who finished lovely inside the box.
