Fans are unanimous in their remarks after Man United’s defeat to Brighton

Following Manchester United’s 3-1 defeat to Brighton, fans are expressing a common sentiment regarding Andre Onana.

The Red Devils faced their third defeat of the new Premier League season as they were defeated by Roberto De Zerbi’s side on Saturday. Goals from Danny Welbeck, Pascal Gross, and Joao Pedro led Brighton to secure all three league points at Old Trafford, marking a remarkable result.

Hannibal Mejbri managed to pull one goal back, but pressure is mounting on Erik ten Hag early in the 2023/24 campaign.

Fans online took aim at Onana, who joined the club for £47.2 million from Inter Milan during the summer transfer window, as he’s now conceded a whopping 10 goals in the opening five league matches.

One X user wrote: “How did they nominate Andre Onana for the FIFA best keeper category? This guy is just not good.”

A second said: “Every shot towards Onana is a goal..”

A third added: “Onana is literally Kepa 2.0 every shot he faces is a goal.”

It doesn’t get any easier for Onana and Co as Man United resume their season on Wednesday when they begin their Champions League venture against Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich.
