Fans believes Real Madrid’s 63-year-old manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has a better first touch than some players
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti proved he’s still got it with some magnificent ball control and skill during their Champions League quarter-final win over Chelsea.
The 64-year-old patrolled the Bernabeu touchline on Wednesday night as Los Blancos dominated for large spells.
Karim Benzema, who has bagged 27 goals in 36 games for club and country this season, opened the scoring for Madrid with a tap-in from close range.
And after Ben Chillwell was sent off for a foul on Rodrigo, second-half substitute Marco Asensio sealed what was a relatively straightforward 2-0 win against Frank Lampard’s side.
Away from the action and one of the biggest talking points from Wednesday’s quarter-final first leg was the audacious first touch ofCarlo Ancelottiin the latter stages.
After the ball came to him as a decent speed, the Italian controlled the ball with his right foot before slowing it down with his left.
He then used his upper leg to cushion the ball before kicking it towards Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, who must have been impressed by his manager’s touchline technique.
