Fans notice Dominik Szoboszlai taunting LASK supporters after Liverpool’s Europa League victory

Liverpool fans noticed Dominik Szoboszlai appearing to taunt LASK fans after his team’s Europa League victory.

Liverpool came from behind to defeat LASK 3-1 in their opening European match, with Darwin Nunez equalizing from the penalty spot and Luis Diaz giving the Reds the lead just after the hour mark. Mohamed Salah, who had a standout performance as a second-half substitute, added a third goal late in the match, which fans also commented on.

Szoboszlai, who came off the bench, appeared to engage in an exchange with the home supporters after the final whistle. After applauding the traveling Liverpool fans, he made a gesture towards the home stand and interacted with Jurgen Klopp.

Szoboszlai getting into it with LASK fans could relate to him playing for Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg earlier in his career.

He enjoyed a spell in Austria before moving to RB Leipzig.

The incident between the Hungarian star and the LASK fans didn’t go unnoticed on social media.

One X user wrote: “They still remember of him from RB Salzburg. Rent free…”

A second commented: “He played for Salzburg so there is rivalry there I think.”

A third added: “They remember him playing for Salzburg. He’s on the wind up.”

A fourth said: “Either old Red Bull Salzburg beef or Austrian-Hungarian beef..probably both tbf.”

Another commented: “Probably rekindling old beef from Salzburg days LOL.”

Szoboszlai is enjoying a brilliant start to his Liverpool career, having played six games in all competitions this season – scoring in his side’s victory over Aston Villa earlier this month.

He could return to the starting XI when Liverpool resume their Premier League campaign on Sunday against West Ham United.
