Harry Kane’s immediate reaction after Tottenham Hotspur lifted the Tiger Cup trophy has captured attention on social media.
Ange Postecoglou’s team secured a convincing 5-1 victory against Singapore Premier League side Lion City Sailors on Wednesday, with Kane, Richarlison (scoring three goals), and Giovani Lo Celso finding the net.
Despite the straightforward win, it’s worth noting that Tottenham had not won a “major” trophy since February 2008, making this triumph significant for the North London club.
They faced an early setback in the match when Shawal Anuar scored for the home side, giving them a surprise lead.
However, Tottenham’s second-half performance, with contributions from players like Ivan Perisic, Emerson, and Manor Solomon, helped them dominate for large portions of the game and ultimately secure the trophy.
Kane’s reaction, presumably one of joy and relief, has sparked conversations and discussions on various social media platforms, adding to the excitement surrounding the team’s success in the Tiger Cup.

After the conclusion of the match, the Tottenham Hotspur first-team squad assembled around a platform, and it was Richarlison who had the honor of lifting the Tiger Cup trophy.
The silverware, which bears the logo of Singapore’s most famous beer, became the center of celebration for the team.
Richarlison, the Brazilian forward, appeared overjoyed as he raised the trophy aloft, and many of his teammates stayed around for a short while to share in the celebration.
However, Harry Kane chose to depart quickly, being the first player to make his way down the tunnel of the Singapore National Stadium, though he took a moment to wave to the supporters before leaving.
The differing reactions of the players have been noticed and discussed by fans and on social media, adding to the post-match conversations surrounding the trophy lift and the team’s performance in the Tiger Cup.You can see that moment below.

Here’s how social media reacted to the scenes.
One fan said: “Nah bro Kane just walked off as soon as the pic was done loooool he doesn’t care,” while another commented: “Look how quick Harry departs.”
A third wrote: “Bloody hell, Harry couldn’t get off the pitch quick enough.”
A fourth added: “Kane just walked off immediately.”
Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou was quick to praise the attitude of his players for their performance in the 5-1 win against Lion City Sailors.
He also applauded the work in training during this summer’s Asia-Pacific Tour.
“We kind of knew… we’ve had a few punishing days for the boys, we purposely made them work hard in training because we missed the last game against Leicester,” he said.
“I knew we wouldn’t be super sharp and it kind of looked that way, particularly in front of goal, but in general, I thought we played some decent football, and our attitude was great right to the end.”

He added: “There’s stuff we’ve been working on in terms of our structures and you can see the boys are working really hard to implement it.
“Again, we probably didn’t have the legs to get into the areas we needed to, but the endeavour was there, and that’s what you’re looking for.”
